Xerocon AI Music Factory
A generative AI experience at Xerocon London where every attendee walked away with something uniquely theirs: a personalised AI-composed music track and a printable art piece. A systematic AI workflow created both in seconds, with no logins.

The Brief
Xero wanted the standout activation at Xerocon London, something that made AI feel personal, creative, and joyful rather than abstract and threatening. The experience had to be accessible to every type of attendee, from accountants to developers to founders, regardless of their relationship with technology.
The Challenge
Most AI activations at events in 2024 were demos: screens showing AI outputs with a presenter explaining what was happening. The brief called for something people could do themselves and take home. The challenge was building the whole creative experience from scratch: a pipeline that felt magical from the attendee's perspective and was reliable enough to run for hundreds of participants across a multi-day conference. It also had to work without asking anyone to sign up, log in, or surrender their data.
The Approach
A systematic end-to-end AI workflow was designed and built specifically for this activation. The process began with a short questionnaire, where attendees answered a handful of questions about their personality, their business, and their mood. From there, the workflow took over.
ChatGPT handled narrative and lyric generation, crafting a song concept and lyrics tailored to each participant's answers. Suno then generated the music track, a fully produced piece of audio built from those lyrics and creative prompts. In parallel, Leonardo.AI generated an AI art piece to match each track. Every output was one-of-a-kind.
Each participant received their music track and art piece, and could print the artwork on the spot to take home as a physical memento. There were no logins and no data collection. Walk up, answer a few questions, leave with something of your own.
The design prioritised delight over demonstration and kept the AI in the background.
The Output
The AI Music Factory was the most-talked-about activation at Xerocon London, and attendees shared their personalised tracks and prints on their own social channels. The activation won a Shorty Award for innovation in AI experience design.
